Toi Thay Hoa Vang Tren Co Xanh (Yellow Flowers on
the Green Grass) won the Golden Lotus Award for best feature film at the
biennial 19th Viet Nam Film Festival organised by the Ministry of
Culture on Saturday night.
Thousands of local people and visitors flocked to a
traditional festival in Tuy Loan village in the suburban district of Hoa
Vang in Central Viet Nam at the weekend.
A new film called Hoa Vang Tren Co Xanh (Yellow Flowers on Green Grass)
marks the first joint venture between popular director Victor Vu and
best-selling author Nguyen Nhat Anh.
A Cham tower complex has been found in Hoa Vang
District after a three-month excavation, including 629 objects dating
from the 10th-14th centuries, archaeologists from the National Museum of
Vietnamese History announced yesterday.
